Submit your application for technical review
Please ensure your app meets the following technical requirements.
- App conforms with the marketplace principles
- App will pass technical review use cases
- Outline the steps you follow to test. Include how to trigger a data exchange and where to look in your app or in QuickBooks Desktop to see evidence of success. If applicable, please use QuickBooks Desktop sample data included in install.
- Apps will be tested only for US region
How to submit your application for technical review
When you’re ready to submit your app for technical review, create a support ticket from your Intuit developer account with the following information:
Subject: “QBD technical review request for YOURAPPNAME”
Content:
- Requestor name
- Requestor company
- Requestor email address
- Requestor app name
- Link to free version of the app to test
- Note which versions of Windows and QuickBooks Desktop are supported
- Clearly mention the version of the third party app to be tested
- Specify the SDK version used by the app
- App Installation instructions
- Keys needed to install the app and/or account credentials to login to the app
- Simple test case of core feature to test data exchange
- Simple description of the app and how it interacts with QuickBooks Desktop
- Outline the steps you follow to test. Include how to trigger a data exchange and where to look in your app or in QuickBooks Desktop to see evidence of success. If possible, attach additional information to help the reviewer such as a link to a video or information which shows how to use the
app. Items such as caveats and tips, help materials, and app demo videos will speed up the review.
- Please indicate QuickBooks Desktop sample data used or provide a company file with test data need to perform the test.
A member of our technical review team will contact you and keep you informed of the status and timing. This process takes approximately one week once the team starts on the review.
