Lettuce Agrees to Join Forces with Intuit

As you may have seen on the QuickBooks blog, Intuit has entered into an agreement to acquire Lettuce, a start-up focused on helping product-based small businesses succeed by providing easy to use cloud-based solutions, including a robust inventory and order management system.

You may wonder what this means for other IPP developers, both existing and future. Nothing has changed: we remain an open platform. Just as our customers will benefit from this acquisition, so will our developers. Over time, we plan to incorporate Lettuce’s inventory management functionality more fully into the QuickBooks Online product, including enhancements to the QuickBooks Online Data Services API. We expect these API enhancements will be available to all IPP developers, including those building apps in a similar space.

Intuit continues to focus on being the operating system behind small business success. We can’t do this without the creativity and innovation of our developer partners.
