Who's Coming to the Hackathon?

Only 5 days till we convene in San Jose for the QuickBooks Connect 2014 Developer Hackathon! Are you registered? We’ve had an incredible response and are basically near or at capacity. We’re really excited and eager to work with all of you to build some amazing apps and projects together next week.

If you haven’t started packing yet, take a moment to read this Hackathon FAQ to make sure you’re bringing all the right things with you.  Still have questions after reading the FAQ? Add them in the comments below or tweet us at @IntuitDev (yes, that’s a new handle).

Also, please take another look at the official rules. We’ve clarified a couple things about the prize categories and other requirements, based on questions from you that we’ve received in the past weeks.  Still have questions? Add them in the comments below or tweet us at @IntuitDev.

Are any of you wondering who the judges will be for the hackathon? We’ve got a great panel of 5 judges representing VCs, Accountants, and Small Business.  I know I’d be thrilled just to meet them, let alone pitch my app to them:

He provides advisory and consulting services focused on cloud computing, managed services, virtualization, storage systems, and business and collaboration applications. He covers both the supply and demand side; analyzing data from vendors, end-users and channel perspectives.

Matt Hollaren: Matt is General Partner at Cloud Apps Capital Partners. He was the first venture capitalist to frame the Business Freemium and the Enterprise Cloud models. He is considered an expert in cloud platforms, marketplaces and ecosystems. Matt has 12 years of operating experience in successful business application companies including salesforce.com, 9 years of venture capital and private equity experience, and a highly relevant network.
