Small Business Hackathon London Wrap-Up

What an amazing weekend!  120+ developers, designers, and entrepreneurs descended on CodeNode in London for the QuickBooks #SmallBizHack to work with five API partners to come up with ways to save time or money for small businesses. At the end of 25.5 hours of coding, we watched 27 teams pitch an impressive variety of apps to our panel of three judges, as well as judges from each of our five API partners.  Over the two days — in between design and coding — hackers managed to experience some great technical talks, enjoy fab food courtesy of street-fare vendor Kerb, and get competitive with legos, race cars, foosball, table tennis, and more.  We closed the weekend having learned new skills, created new solutions, made new friends, and found new colleagues and mentors — and possibly kicked off a startup or two.

The hack challenge: Create a new solution that saves a small business time of money. (Full rules are here.)
